The C3X platform is a software platform developed by the Institute for Radiological Protection and Nuclear Safety (IRSN) for the assessment of atmospheric dispersion and its consequences (doses). C3X was specifically designed for use at the IRSN Technical Crisis Center and in particular for the management of emergency phases.

As part of major changes to the platform, Kalisio was asked to ensure the evolution of the cartX application. CartX allows the results of the various calculations to be visualized and post-processed in a 3D geographical context. From a technical point of view, CartX is based on Open Scene Graph, VTK, GDAL and Qt technologies and interacts with the platform using a communication bus.

Our mission was to refactor cartX to manage the new data model induced by the platform evolutions and the new communication protocol based on AMQP. Our technological background allowed our maintenance partner to secure its delivery on time and within cost.
